What are channels?

Channels are groups of users used as distribution lists when sending Content. They can represent different aspects of your organization, such as departments, activities, or teams. Channels help organize how you target messages, reduce unnecessary messages, and improve the efficiency of your notifications. You can link channels together to improve the efficieny and ease of distributing content.

By creating and utilizing channels effectively, you can tailor your messages to specific groups within your organization, reducing noise and ensuring that information is targeted precisely where it's needed. This not only improves the efficiency of your notifications but also enhances communication and engagement across your organization.

Managing Channels

You can manage Channels in the Channel browser section of the Heed App, where you can edit channel members, view your subscriptions, and control notification preferences for each channel.

To access and modify a channel's details, members, and links, simply click on the edit pencil icon next to the channel. This action expands the properties of the channel for your review and editing.
