Creating a desktop notification
- Open the Heed Admin Portal and click Create.
- Click Create your own, then press Desktop Notification.
- Choose the theme for your notification.
- Then you can choose or create a container from the Container dropdown. To create a new container, type in the name of your new container and then Create "Container name":
- Finally enter and name and description for the notification and then press Create.
The Designer
Once you have completed the steps in the Create Desktop Notification modal, you will then be directed to the message designer.
To finalize the creation of your desktop notification, enter edit mode, and ensure you complete these essential steps:
- Edit Notification Content: Customize the content of the notification according to your requirements. You can also adjust the size if needed to ensure it displays optimally.
- Add Recipients: Specify one or more recipients who should receive the notification by clicking on Modify on the Recipients section.

The Publish Wizard
When you click on the Publish button, you will initially encounter the Publish wizard. This wizard will guide you through four essential steps, allowing you to review your selected options before finalizing the content publication.
- Recipients: The first step of the wizard will display the recipients that have been selected.
- Notification: The second step confirms the position of the notification, Card or Center Screen. You can change the selected option from the Notification Type dropdown.
- Delivery: The next step confirms the attitional delivery methods that have been selected, mobile push, email etc.
- Scheduling and Duration: In the last step, you have the option to set the notification's duration and specify any scheduling preferences. For instance, you can schedule the notification to be dispatched on Monday morning at 9 AM.
