You can administrator the system settings of your Heed installation from the Settings page in the Admin Portal.

Content Defaults

You have the flexibility to set default configurations for the content you create. These settings encompass:

  1. SMS Sender Name: Define the default name for SMS messages.
  2. Additional Delivery Methods: Enable various additional delivery methods and set whether they are selected by default, such as Microsoft Teams, SMS, Mobile Push, and Email.
  3. User Preferences Modification: Specify whether users are permitted to modify these preferences.
  4. Default Moderators: Designate default moderators for all created content.

This allows you to streamline content creation with predefined configurations tailored to your needs.

Heed Desktop App Branding

You can manage the branding logos for the Heed desktop app within the branding section. Simply upload custom light and dark images by clicking the "Upload" buttons next to their respective images.

Session Timeout

For users utilizing the web interface, you have the flexibility to configure an idle session timeout feature, which automatically logs users out when a specified timeout duration is reached. You can set this timeout anywhere between a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 60 hours.

Please note that the session timeout settings do not apply to users using the desktop client, as it must remain logged in to ensure the uninterrupted reception of notifications.

To modify the session timeout settings, navigate to the Session section in your configuration options.

Once you have made your changes, click Save Changes in the top right hand corner.

Desktop Client

General

You can configure default settings for the Heed desktop client, including permissions for users to change their proxy settings and switch between Dev and UAT environments if these options are available. These default settings apply to all users, but they can be overridden on an individual basis in the user configuration section.

Discovery

You have the option to configure default settings for the desktop client discovery mode in the Desktop Client section. Here, you can enable or disable this feature and set the lookup intervals for both processes and web addresses in minutes.

Once you have made your changes, click Save Changes in the top right hand corner.

Data Retention

You can customize the data retention settings to determine the duration for which content data remains stored in Heed before automatic deletion. It's important to note that this setting exclusively applies to content that is no longer active.

Once you have made your changes, click Save Changes in the top right hand corner.
