Response workflows are initiated when a recipient submits a response from a Heed message that contains one or more response buttons.
To create a response workflow you need to select Response within the Create Workflow modal, as shown below.
Using a response workflow
Once you have created a workflow to handle responses, you need to associate it with one or more response forms within the workflows that send out your Heed messages. Please refer to the "Form Builder" guide for detailed instructions on how to accomplish this integration.
The response trigger activity provides the following outputs that can be accessed throughout your workflow:
- User: Information about the recipient who submitted the response, including:
- Username
- Display name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
- Desk phone number
- Alert: Details related to the Heed message from which the response was received, including:
- Subject
- Body
- Metadata
- Response: Information about how the recipient responded, which includes:
- Value: The button they clicked
- Elements: An array containing each of the form elements and the values entered by the recipient. If there were no form fields in the response, this array will be empty.
